In south central there are many ways how to describe it  you can describe as a negative and positive way. the three elements that have a big impact of how southcentral is today and those are  L.A RIOTS,CRACK EPIDEMIC,WATTS RIOTS.


The first event that has a great impact on making south central what is it today  is L.A riots. This event occured April 29, 1992 where the convictions of the police officers that brutually beat rodney king were found non guilty of all charges. that infuritated black people and that hows the riots started. This event happened over a period of 3 days and resulted in 53 deaths and over 1 billion in damages. During the riot a white man named reginald denny was beated alsmot to death and same tihng to this guy named fidel lopez.The impact of this riots  was that  ritoing was th only way that people atually responded due to the  racism and inequality back in the day. Not only were their riots in Los Angeles but also in oakland. nevada, chicago,arizona, and many other places.

The second event that had a great impact on  making South Central what it is today was the crack Epidemic. The crack epidemic was started by the president Ronald Reagan him self. He wanted to support the Nicaraguas against the Somoza because there communist. He and the (CIA) decided to sell crack to major drug dealers and let them sell it to the people of south central to make money and buy guns ang food for the Nicaraguas. This torn down many familys and the city. The biggest drug dealer was Freeway Ricky Ross. The was later caught by the (CIA).

The third event that had a impact on making south central how it is today was the watts riots. The watts riots started when the police stop marquett frye for drunk driving.Then when they was arresting marquett his brother i believe his name was ronald frye went to go get his mother becuase they were arresting his “bro”. Then the mother went and she was like defending his son for marquett won’t get arrested and the white cop arrested the whole entired family for no reason.The next day come and day had hold a meeting at ATHENS PARK were they wanted peace and on the tv and media thay said the opposite of what was true and then the crowd belive it and they started the riots and at the end of the riot there was a total of 34 people dead the national guard had to shut done southcentral for this can calm done.

In conclusion,these 3 events are the most important becuase this was the events of racism and violence and lead to alot of people dying.In the future south central will change and it would change by people not being races and there well be no violence among the poeple that there would be peace and we well all get along .
